General Description
Location: The port of Deseado is located in the province of Santa Cruz, DArgentina, 245 km. SE of Comodoro Rivadavia. The port is situated on the N bank of Deseado river, and at its mouth.
General overview: The port has established itself as an important base for the South Atlantic fishing industry. There are shore installations for deep frozen fish and for processing fresh fish, both for export. An extension to the commercial wharf is used by trawlers and factory ships with cold storage space for processing and exports nearby.
