Location: Castro-Urdiales is situated situated eight miles west of the major port of Bilbao on the coast of NW Spain. General overview: This is a port with limited commercial facilities. There is no marina but around 130 moorings have been laid in the harbour by the local yacht club. The Real Club Nautico de Castro Urdiales manages mooring in the harbour. Its own 130 berths are designed for yachts of maximum length 16.0 metres and draught of 3.0 metres, but they are rarely available during the season. Load line zone: North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: Only suitable for small fishing boats and yachts. LOA: 16 m; draught: 3 m.
