Location: Kijang, previously known as Sungai Kolak, is situated on the W side of Selat Kijang, 2.5nm NE of Tanjung Tili. General overview: Vessels are moored alongside, on dolphins, at 2 jetties where bauxite can be loaded at rates of 500-600tph. Traffic figures: Approx 35 vessels totalling 800,000DWT visit the port annually. Bintan Island handles approx 1,200,000t of bauxite annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: LOA 180m, beam 27m, draught 10.0m.
