General Description
Location: Bayovar is situated in the Golfo de Panama. General overview: Consists of a "T" jetty with 4 breasting dolphins and buffer fenders, designed for vessel up to 250,000DWT. Crude oil is loaded into VLCC's for international shipment and coastal vessels for domestic use. The marine terminal is operated by PetroPeru, controlled by ENAPU, serving the oilfields of the Peruvian Amazon basin. The bay is naturally sheltered. Traffic figures: Approx 50 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: 250,000DWT.
