General Description
Location: Topolobampo is situated in the state of Sinaloa, on the W coast of Mexico, approx 365km NW of Mazatlan. General overview: The port is located in an extensive fertile zone which produces half of Mexico's agricultural output, the principal export is agricultural and cattle products. The port consists of private terminals for handling various types of cargo, including general, containers, oil products, LPG and ammonia. Traffic figures: Approx 960 vessels, 4,800,000t of cargo and 186,000 passengers handled annually. Load line zone: North Pacific Seasonal Tropical Area, Tropical Mar 1 to Jun 30 and Nov 1 to Nov 30, Summer Jul 1 to Oct 31 and Dec 1 to Feb 28/29. Max size: Pemex Pier: LOA 215m, beam 32m, draught 10.97m, 43,700DWT. Largest vessel handled: "Reynosa" 32,000GT, LOA 211.4m, draught 10.6m.
