General Description
Location: The Port of Ras Al Khafji is an offshore terminal located approximately 15km off the northeast coast of Saudi Arabia in the area of the Divided Zone of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
General overview: The Port of Ras Al Khafji comprises four tanker loading berths and an anchorage area where general cargo vessels transfer their cargo onto barges. It is important for vessels to anchor within the designated limits due to the presence of numerous wellheads and pipelines on the seabed nearby. The port primarily handles cargoes such as crude oil, naphtha, and fuel oil.
The SBM No.4 offshore has a maximum allowable draught of 20.1 meters and can accommodate vessels with maximum of 300,000 DWT.
