General Description
Location: Onslow port is located approx 1,000km N of Perth in Western Australia's Pilbara region. General overview: The port exports salt from local mines operated by Mitsui. Wheatstone LNG have started construction of the domestic gas plant on the Ashburton North Strategic Industrial Area, 7.5nm W of Onslow, which is expected to feed 15% of its output into the local energy market on completion. The project includes development of offshore gas fields, a 225km pipeline, port facilities and an initial 2 trains with a combined capacity of 8,900,000tpa.
