General Description
Location: The Port of Nanao is strategically located on the eastern coast of Honshu, Japan, along the Sea of Japan. It is approx. 60km northwest of Toyama and is considered one of the two primary ports in the Ishikawa Prefecture, alongside Kanazawa.
General overview: The Port of Nanao is a good natural port ideally positioned for trade with countries facing the Sea of Japan.
The port is divided into three distinct sections, the middle waist of the east side of nengdeng peninsula is concave from the east to form a bay. There is also the East-West wall of nengdeng island in the Bay, which divides the bay into North Bay (Qiwei Bay), West Bay, South Bay, etc.
Qiwei port is located on the southwest Bank of South Bay. Ships enter from the Northeast Seto Strait, with a draft of 9.8 meters.
From northeast to southwest of the port, there are: Liquefied wharf, pile type, water depth of 14 meters, reliable berthing 50000 DWT liquefied ship (Akaqi jetty is under construction).
Datian jetty is 185 meters long at the top and 10 meters deep at the front. It is reliable for berthing 10000 ton ships. The left and right sides of the jetty are log yards
Kyoritsu piled wharf is 200 meters long and 6.2 meters deep. It can berth 8000 ton seagoing ships reliably
The east side of No. 1 jetty is 222 meters long and 5.5 meters deep, and it can berth two 3000DWT reliably. The west side is 135 meters long and 7.5 meters deep, and it can berth 5000DWT reliably
The cement wharf, 121 meters long and 6.6 meters deep, is located in the southeast of the small peninsula extending to the northwest of the No. 1 jetty. There are nearly 10 berths of more than 1000DWT in Hong Kong.
The Port of Nanao handles a variety of commodities, including coal, timber, oil, and liquefied gas. Its strategic location, combined with its well-defined infrastructure, make it a highly efficient hub for trade and transportation in the region.
