General Description
Location: Mokha is located at the southern entrance to the Red Sea, situated to the SE of Hodeidah. General overview: The port consists of one pier, allowing vessels to berth either side. There are facilities in the port for the handling of break bulk, Ro-Ro and Palm Oil tanker cargoes. Principal export is mocca coffee. Traffic figures: Approx 100 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: LOA 180m, draught 8.0m and 15,000DWT(up to 20,000DWT accepted provided maximum draught 8.0m). Tanker berth: Max LOA 150m; draught 8.5m.
