Location: Lysekil is situated on the NW side of the entrance to Gullmarnsfjorden, which extends 10nm NE, midway between Gothenburg and the Norway-Sweden Border. It is the most W'ly port in Sweden. General overview: A well-equipped small commercial and fishing port with 4 berths. Cargo handled: Wood products, containers, steel, general cargo and dry bulk. The port is seldom icebound. Traffic figures: Approx 500,000t of cargo and 500 vessels are handled annually including 10,000TEU. Load line zone: North Atlantic Winter Seasonal Zone II, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: Max draught 10.0m. Largest vessel handled: 50,000DWT.
