Location: Lae is located facing the Houn Gulf in NE New Guinea.
General overview: Lae has one wharf for overseas cargo operations, which includes the handling of general, bulk grain as well as oil and gas cargoes. The wharf has three berths along its length and two coastal berths exist close W. Bunkers and water are available, but nearest repair facilities are at Port Moresby.
