General Description
Location: Kribi is a small deepwater port situated at the mouth of the River Kienke.
General overview: Kribi is a small roadstead port where cargo is worked by vessels at anchor. The harbor basin is fronted
by a bar and can only be used by small craft. It's principal exports are palm kernels, rubber, ivory and cocoa. Imports include cotton goods, spirit, rice and salt. Thanks to its 350 meter wharf with 16 meter draught, Kribi Conteneurs Terminal can handle vessels up to 11,000 TEUs. Its infrastructures and equipment comply with the highest international standards. With its 615 m of quay for the first part, the Kribi port can receive at the same time 2 vessels of 290 m carrying 50,000 mt of commodities (this capacity is more than the double of Douala port which maximum is 20,000 mt). Three operational porticos of 68 MT, 40 MT and 25 MT are currently operational.
