General Description
Location: Kasim is located on the western tip of Irian, close to the ports of Sorong and Salawati and facing the Dampier Strait. Kasim Marine Terminal is situated between the island of Kasim and the mainland of Irian Jaya. General overview: The port is utilised as a crude oil loading facility. The berth at the terminal consists of four breasting and four mooring dolphins with a loading platform set back. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: LOA 305m, draught 14.5m, 85,000DWT. Largest vessel handled: "Oriental Phoenix", LOA 275m, beam 43.3m, part loaded 265,000bbls.
