Exports mainly consist of sugar and other agricultural products, while imports are chiefly general household goods, fuel oil and automobiles. Good bunkering and repair facilities are available. Traffic figures: The port handles approx 8,859,032t of cargo, 1,100,000TEU, 3,130 (Inter-Island) and 1,030 (overseas) vessels annually.
