General Description
Location: Gorontalo is situated 22nm NW of Tanjung Mononggawa on the N coast of Sulawesi. General overview: The port is a commercial port opened to foreign trade and is the principal trading place for Teluk Tomini. It operates as a lighterage port exporting copra, a ferry port and oil terminal, consisting of a roadstead anchorage and two quays. Two concrete breakwaters lie on the foreshore W and SW of the oil terminal. Traffic figures: Approx 360 vessels, 487,500t of cargo and 23,600TEU handled annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: LOA 130m, draught 5.0m, 6,500DWT.
