Location: Gold River is situated on the W side of a river of the same name on the N side of Muchalat Inlet on the W side of Vancouver Island. General overview: The port, which has a pulp mill on the W side of the entrance to Gold River, is used by large cargo vessels and handles exports of wood pulp. Traffic figures: Approx 3 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Largest vessel handled: Wood carrier, LOA 213m, beam 32m, draught 10.6m.
