General Description
Location: Forcados Terminal is situated off the mouth of the Forcados River. General overview: The terminal is served by a 22km submerged pipeline from the shore to the SBM's via a production platform. The anchorage area is 3.2km SW of the platform, where vessels wait for the pilot. Unfavourable weather conditions may be encountered during the rainy season from Jun to Sep, and sudden squalls may occur between Dec and Apr. Traffic figures: Approx 140 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Tankers of between 45,000DWT and 320,000DWT (a restriction of 150,000DWT is in place until further notice) can be accommodated at the SBM's. The max draught allowed is 19.8m.
