General Description
Location: Ebome Marine Terminal is situated close W of Baie Banoko. KF Oil Field is located approx 6.5km W of the Grand Batanga SE of Kribi Port.
General overview: The Ebome Marine Terminal consists of one storage vessel and one SPM for crude oil. The terminal handles the production of the KF Oilfield, both operated by Perenco Cameroon on behalf of Perenco Cameroon-SNH-Mobil. There is no cargo handling equipment.
The major structures of KF Field are as follows:
-Tripod structure: Centre point, 02°48.9'N 009°49.8'E. Production unit Ebome
-Marine: Centre point 02°48.8'N 009°49.9'E.
-The floating storage unit (FSU): Centre point 02°48.9'N 009°49.9'E.
-The loading buoy (SPM): 02°48.3'N 009°49.1'E.
Berths:
Storage Vessel ‘‘USF1’’: Converted tanker, 72,735 d.w.tonnes, LOA 244 m.; permanently moored heading 210°(T) on site, using eight anchor mooring legs. Black hull with white letters ‘‘USF1’’, 1.5 m. high, on each side, and exhibits statuatory signals for a vessel at anchor.
SPM: Yellow buoy, positioned in depth of 30 m., using four anchor legs extending 275 m. around it (CALM system).
Lifting vessel moors using a single mooring rope (84 mm. diameter.) fitted with a chafe chain at its end. The buoy is connected to the storage tanker by a single 24 in. sea-line used for transferring the crude oil. Transfer of oil from the buoy to an offtake vessel is made through a single string of 16 in. floating hoses, length 290 m. The buoy is designed for tankers 50,000 – 180,000 d.w.tonnes. Distance bow to manifold 104 – 174 m.
Anchorages: A circular area of 1 n.m. radius centred on Lat. 02° 48' 23.13" N, Long. 009° 47' 07.57" E. (about 2 n.m. west of the SPM).
Pilotage: Compulsory.
Max size: No restriction on LOA or beam. Max BCM 174m, draught 30.0m. Min 50,000DWT and max 180,000DWT.
Load line zone: Tropical.
