Location: The port of Digang is located on the E bank of the lower reaches of the Changjiang (Yangtze) River and Xingang area is located on the E bank of Shuangjiang River, a branch of the Changjiang River. General overview: Digang: This harbour area is operated and managed by Digang Harbour Administration Office of Wuhu Harbour Administration Bureau and Fanchang Shipping Administration Office. It is bounded by Bagengtou at the juncture of Tongling and Fanchangban with a shore length of 4.67km, a land area of 374,000m² and a water area of 209,000m². Xingang: This harbour area is operated and managed by Xingang Harbour Administration Office of Wuhu Harbour Administration Bureau and Fanchang Shipping Administration Office. It is 10km from Digang harbour area. It has a natural shoreline of 1.35km, a land area of 81,000m² and a water area of 810,000m². The main export cargoes handled in the port are iron ore, phosphorus ore, cement and ore materials. The main import cargoes are chemical fertilisers, grain, iron and steel and coal.
