Location: De Kastri is located on the W coast of Tataskiy Strait, in the Sea of Japan. General overview: Crude oil production from the Sea of Okhotsk, known as Sakalin-1, is pumped via subsea pipeline to De Kastri where it is loaded onto export tankers. There is also a general cargo jetty with two berths. Main exports: Timber and petroleum products. Traffic figures: Approx 2,210,000t of crude oil shipped annually. Load line zone: North Pacific Winter Seasonal Zone, Winter Oct 16 to Apr 15, Summer Apr 16 to Oct 15. Max size: General Cargo: LOA 150m, 12,000DWT. SBM: Max 110,000DWT.
