General Description
Location: The port of Crofton is located in Osborn Bay, on the W side of Stuart Channel, on the SE coast of Vancouver Island. General overview: The harbour has three wharves used mainly for the processing and export of forest products and the transport of general cargo. Cargo vessels and tankers supplying fuel to local industry use the harbour in addition to tugs and barges. Traffic figures: Approx 70 vessels use the port annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Largest vessel handled: LOA 201m, 45,295DWT.
