General Description

Location: Cam Ranh Port also known as Ba Ngoi is located 25nm S of Nha Trang in Cam Ranh Bay. General overview: The private port has road and rail links with Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City. The principal imports are asphalt and cement. Exports are agriculture products, sand and salt. Up to now, the port has two wharfs with total length of 600 meters which can receive a 50,000DWT or 80,000DWT vessel, a 30,000DWT one and some under 5,000DWT ones loading cargo at the same time. Beside infrastructures, other vehicles and equipment have been invested. The port owns two tug boats with total capacity of 2,500CV, 10 shore cranes (15 – 52 MT), 2 electronic scale bridges and other equipment. Traffic figures: Approx 1,480,000t of cargo and 480 vessels handled annually. Load line zone: China Sea Seasonal Tropical Area, Tropical Jan 21 to Apr 30, Summer May 1 to Jan 20. Max size: Max draught: 9.7 m, size: 30,000 DWT. The largest vessel called at the port: LOA: 210 m, draught: 8.3 m, deadweight: 57,257 t.
