General Description
Location: Astoria is the first port upon entering the Columbia River, situated 8.6nm upstream from the sea. General overview: The harbour comprises three piers with wharfage for nine ocean going cargo and passenger vessels, with a depth of 11.0m. Cargo handled: Cruise ships, forest products, bulk, seafood and general cargo. The small port of Warrenton is situated on the W side of Young's Bay and is the proposed site of the Oregon LNG facility. Traffic figures: Approx 86,000t of cargo handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Max draught 12.2m.
