General Description
Location: Assaluyeh is situated on the S coast in the Persian Gulf, 300km E of Bushehr and approx 100km from the South Pars gas field. General overview: The port plays a significant part in the production of natural gas from the Southern Pars and Homa gas fields with the 4th Aromatics Plant; the largest aromatics project in the world. The gas terminal exports South Pars condensate via an SBM and has two berths for LPG and ammonia. Traffic figures: Approx 11,370,000t of cargo handled annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Draught 9.0m, 250,000DWT.
