General Description
Location: The port of Blang Lancang, alternatively known as Arun Terminal, is situated in northern Sumatra on the Strait of Malacca facing the Andaman Sea. Lhokseumawe is the nearest town, approx 10km ESE of the terminal. General overview: The port is operated by Pertamina, with SBM, MBM and harbour berths for handling condensate, LNG (six trains) and LPG exports, there are also two small general cargo berths. The export cargo is from the Arun field with future pipelines from the South Lhoksukon and the Pase fields. Traffic figures: Approx 200 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: SBM: Max LOA 350m, no draught limit, no beam limit, 280,000DWT. LNG Harbour berths: Max LOA 290m, draught 12.5m, beam 45m, 125,000m³. LPG Harbour berth: Max LOA 255m, 80,000m³.
