Location: Port Akdeniz (Antalya) is located at the head of Antalya Gulf, on S coast of Turkey. General overview: The port offers a sheltered port, protected by two breakwaters 1,140m and 650m long. The distance between the two is 250m. Port Akdeniz is a port of entry, importing fertilizers, coal and raw MDF. Exports include cement, marble, chrome, aluminium hydrate and ingots. Traffic figures: Approx 1,700 vessels, 8,000,000t of cargo, 210,000TEU and 25,000 passengers handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: LOA 293m, beam 32m, draught 9.5m, 92,627DWT. Offshore tanker CBM: LOA 180m, draught 10.0m, 40,000DWT.
