The shipping platform

Location: Jiangmen is located in SW of Guangdong Province, on the western bank of the central part of the Pearl River Delta. General overview: There are 3 operational areas and 2 passenger transport areas operated by the Harbour Administration Bureau. The Gaosha operational area and the Beijie passenger transport area are located at Beijie Gaosha on the right bank of the lower reaches of the main stream of the Xijiang River and on the coast the Beijie Haibang respectively. The Zhupaitou, Jiangzui operational areas and the inner harbour passenger transport area are located on the right bank of the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Jiangmen Fairway, the central city section respectively. The main cargoes handled in the port are containers, coal, non-metallic ore, chemical fertiliser and agricultural chemicals. Traffic figures: Approx 11,470,000t of cargo, 590,000TEU and 1,490,000 passengers handled annually.
