General Description
Location: Stewart is British Columbia's most N'ly deep water port, located close to the Alaska state boundary, at the head of the Portland Canal. General overview: Stewart has a barge terminal and an updated bulk commodity loader owned by Stewart Bulk Terminals Ltd. The main industries are mining, logging and tourism. The port is capable of handling deep sea traffic and remains navigable all year round. Raw logs, forest products and minerals ore are the primary export commodities. Load line zone: Summer.
