General Description
Location: The town of San Sebastian is at the center of the oil fields in Tierra del Fuego. The port is located on the southern end of San Sebastian Bay.
San Sebastian Oil Terminal: Situated on the S side of San Sebastian Bay.
General overview: The terminal, also names “Cargadero Cruz del Sur”, operated by Petrolera LF. A tank storage is connected to SPM (CALM type) via pipeline. Loading and discharging operations involve crude and oil by-products (1,500 m3/h). Annually the production reaches 700,000 m3.
A small quantity of wool is also exported using lighters.
