General Description
Location: Puerto Madero is located on the southernmost part of the Mexican Pacific Ocean coast. General overview: Puerto Madero handles seagoing traffic, as well as fishing vessels and coasters. The port's main export is fruit. The port has the potential for establishing fisheries, shipyards and specialised terminals for the handling of grain, fertilisers and fluids. The harbours are protected by 2 breakwaters with a length of 1,400m. Load line zone: North Pacific Seasonal Tropical Area, Tropical Mar 1 to Jun 30 and Nov 1 to Nov 30, Summer Jul 1 to Oct 31 and Dec 1 to Feb 28/29. Largest vessel handled: LOA 165m, beam 25m, draught 8.0m.
