The shipping platform

Location: Port Vendres is situated a little south of Collioure and 15km north of the border with Spain, on the Mediterranean coast. General overview: The port has a sheltered harbour approach with sufficient water for entry to the berths at all states of the tide. There are facilities for commercial cargoes as well as the leisure industry. Vessels can berth alongside without the use of a tug. The main imports and exports are fruit and vegetables. Traffic figures: Approx 150 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length, Winter Dec 16 to Mar 15, Summer Mar 16 to Dec 15. Max size: Max LOA 155m, draught 8.0m.
