General Description
Location: Parnu is located on the NE side of Riga Bay at the entrance to the Parnu River. General overview: Principal exports are timber, wood pulp and flax. Principal imports are fertilisers, salt and coal. Traffic figures: Approx 1,050 vessels visit the port and 1,700,000t of cargo handled annually. Load line zone: Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Seasonal Area for ships of 100m or less in length, Winter Nov 1 to Mar 31, Summer Apr 1 to Oct 31. Max size: Max draught 5.0m. Ice Class 1B and min 2,000kW engine power.
