General Description
Location: Palanca Terminal is situated 23nm W of Ponta Quinzau and 57nm SSE of the entrance to the River Congo. General overview: The terminal consists of an oil production arrangement of offshore platforms, a floating storage barge, the "Palanca", 274,000DWT and an auxiliary CALM buoy. Loading is performed either in tandem with the FSU or at the SBM buoy. The terminal is approached and entered through a restricted area. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: FSU tandem moor: Vessels of 40,000-150,000DWT. SBM: Up to 300,000DWT deballasted or part loaded can be accommodated at the SBM. However sea conditions may reduce the maximum figure to 280,000DWT. No draught restrictions apply.
