Location: The port of Mutsamudu is situated on the island of Anjouan, in the Comoros Group off E Africa. General overview: Mutsamudu is the only port in the Comoros group capable of handling large ocean going vessels alongside. The port has new quays and a dredging programme has been completed. Traffic figures: Approx 120 vessels visit the port annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: LOA 200m, draught 8.5m.
