General Description
Location: The Port of Maizuru is situated on the northern coast of Honshu Island in Kyoto Prefecture, along the shores of the Sea of Japan in the Maizuru Bay inlet.
General overview: The Port of Maizuru is a naturally protected harbor located in West Central Japan. It has a rich history, starting as a naval base and military port before World War II, and now serving as a transshipment hub for China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.
The port boasts 2,410 meters of public wharves, with 3 dry docks and the largest accommodating vessels up to 80,000 DWT.

Note: There are also two dolphins offering alongside depth of 10 meters.
It also has extensive berthage for log/lumber and textile cargoes, making it an important distribution center for the Kansai region on the Sea of Japan.
