General Description
Location: Lucina is situated off the southern coast of Gabon, 17nm SSE of Pointe Kouango.
General overview: Lucina is an offshore oil export terminal. The development consists of oil producing wells protected by 6 single four pile platforms. Production facilities are located on a four pile platform in position 03° 41.0'S 010°44.0'E. An 85,000DWT floating storage unit "Banio" (FSU) is connected to the SBM by a submarine pipeline. The SBM is situated 1km from FSU in position 03°39.6'S 011°46.2'E, there are no draught restrictions on vessels using the facility.
Traffic figures: Approx 6,000,000t of cargo handled by the port annually.
Load line zone: Tropical.
Max size: The terminal can accommodate tankers up to 140,000SDWT and max displacement of 120,000t with a bow to manifold distance not exceeding 141m. Arrival trim must not exceed 2.4m. Largest vessel handled: "Oriental Majesty" 136,113DWT, draught 15.0m.
