General Description

Location: Wenzhou is located on the SE coast of China, midway between Fuzhou and Ningbo, at the mouth of the Ouhe River. General overview: The combined river and sea ports are divided into four areas; Downtown(Old Port), Yangfushan, Longwan and Qili districts with a total of 76 berths. The port's main cargoes are chemical fertiliser, steel, bulk salt, grain, sugar, coal, cement, timber, fishery products, granite, LPG, containers and general cargo. There are also facilities to handle containers, Ro-Ro, break bulk and passenger vessels. The planned development into a major port will include Zhuangyuanao Port and Leqing Port, Damen Island, Xiaomen Island and Lingkun, all under the jurisdiction of Wenzhou district. Traffic figures: Approx 34,575,000t of cargo and 302,000TEU are handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Inner port: Draught 6.0m, 5,000DWT, airdraught 29.5m. Longwan Terminal: LOA 180m, beam 36m, draught 8.3-8.5m, 10,000DWT. Xiaomen Island LPG: LOA 230m, draught 12.0m, 50,000DWT.
