General Description
Location: Jinzhou is located in Jinzhou Bay, N of the Liaodong Gulf in Bohai. It is situated on the W side of Bijia Mountain, 35km from Jinzhou City to the NE, and faces Huludao across the sea. Its sheltered location makes it the nearest international deep water sea port to the economic districts of North east, Inner Mongolia and North China. General overview: The port has a water area of 44.3km² with a coastline length of 4.5km and a land area of 5.6km². Cargoes handled mainly in the port are petrochemical products, fertilisers, steel, kaoliang, ore, grain, containers, textiles, food, medicines and china. Traffic figures: Approx 35,000,000t of cargo, 451,000TEU and 2,100 vessels handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Cargo vessels LOA 210m, for LOA exceeding 180m, check with Port Authority. Tankers LOA 240m, max draught 13.5m.
