General Description
Location: The Erawan Gasfield consists of a number of platforms situated approx 280nm SSE of Bangkok in the central Gulf of Thailand.
General overview: The terminal consists of 3 SPM's, No 1 SBM maintained for emergency use and FSO Erawan and FSO Platong. SPM 1 is located in position 09°05.6'N 101°20.8'E; SPM 2, (Erawan FSO, 87,000DWT) is in position 09°04.5'N 101°14.7'E; SPM 3, (Platong FSO, "Pattani Spirit") is in position 09°39.85'N 101°25.5'E. Terminal facilities comprise Floating Storage and Offloading Units (FSO), SBM's and service vessels. This terminal is owned and operated by Unocal Thailand Ltd. on behalf of itself and Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. (MOECO) pursuant to the Joint Operating Agreement.
Load line zone: Tropical.
Max size:
Alongside: Vessels of a maximum LOA of 244m and a minimum length such that 2 FSO fenders will lay alongside the export vessels parallel body. All vessels berthing alongside must maintain their deadweight below 70,000t while at the terminal.
Tandem: Vessels with a maximum deadweight of 120,000t. The minimum acceptable lifting amount will be 10,000bbls.
