Location: Dzaoudzi is situated on Dzaoudzi Island, off Mayotte Island, on which Longoni is situated. Previously French possessions, which form part of the Comoros group in the Mozambique Channel, between N Madagascar and Mozambique. General overview: The port of Mayotte is made up of two locations. The N part known as Longoni and the SE part known as Dzaoudzi. The main cargoes handled are breakbulk, container and passengers. Imports include cement, rice, wood, food, cars and general cargo. Exports include ylang oil, vanilla and coconuts. Traffic figures: Approx 200 vessels handled annually. Load line zone: Tropical. Max size: Longoni: Max LOA 185m, draught 11.5m.
