Location: Douarnenez lies at the mouth of Riviere de Pouldavid in Finistere, NW France.
General overview: The port, which is an important fishing base, is divided into four small harbours. Port Neuf, NE of the town, is enclosed by breakwaters. Port de Rosmeur, immediately S of Port Neuf is protected from N by the S mole of Port Neuf and from E by a jetty projecting 0.1nm S from the mole. Ports of Treboul and Rhu, for small craft, lie on the W side of Riviere de Pouldavid opposite Ile Saint-Michel and on the E bank of the river at Douarnenez, respectively. Rosmeur is a fishing port, Port-Rhu is a museum port, Treboul is a marina.
The port of Douarnenez has a capacity of 500 boats on pontoons. It can accommodate 50 boats on dead bodies. The port of Douarnenez - Tréboul has a visitor area for your stopovers with 60 places available.
