General Description
Location: Bualuang Marine Terminal is located in the Gulf of Thailand at the depth of 60 m. Bualuang Field is located approx. 130 n.m. SSW of Sattahip, 60 n.m. east of Chumphon and 35 n.m. NE of Ko Tao, Surat Thani.
General overview: Bualuang Field consists of two platforms and the FSO Suksan Salamander. The field is 100% owned and operated by UK-based Salamander Energy. The terminal comprises of the FPSO "Rubicon Vantage". The FPSO features dynamic positioning and weighs 79,400t. It is 755ft long, 105ft wide and can store up to 570,000 barrels of oil. It is moored by a single mooring system at a depth of 197ft. The FPSO’s oil processing capacity is up to 44,000bpd with a water-handling capacity of up to 20,000bpd, which can be increased to 30,000bpd.
