General Description
Location: The port, formed by the lower estuary of the Chehalis River, is situated on the NW pacific coast of America. General overview: Grays Harbor is a deep water port with terminals located 16nm from the Pacific Ocean in the Aberdeen, Cosmopolis and Hoquiam areas of Washington State. Grays Harbor has extensive facilities for handling forest products, with the principal cargoes being logs, lumber, aluminium, newsprint, pulp, steel and containers; cruise ships are also accommodated. Traffic figures: Approx 4,000,000t of cargo handled annually. Load line zone: Summer. Max size: Largest vessel handled: LOA 200m, beam 30.8m, draught 11.5m.
